OK....here are 2 ideas and I'll get rid of 1 by Friday but I need your help!!
Please can you guys tell me which you think is most relevant, interesting and promising for a Final Major Project.
1. Polaroid Film is one of the more recent formats to become obsolete. Apparently it will be out of stock by 2009!! I'd like to base my project on "lost formats"/old ephemera particularly Polaroid. If I do use Polaroid, the concept could be based on how instant the whole image capturing process is. It would be interesting to use a medium which in a years time is no longer stocked. I could incorporate this into the concept. Hopefully over time, this could continue to become more and more interesting. To me it's in the same legue as concorde....by ceasing production, we're going back a step because it's still so amazing!
2. Design and have made a stained glass window. This is because I think the outcome could be beautiful. The narrative would have nothing to do with religion as we know it etc. because that's boring and too obvious. Maybe a more real narrative. Perhaps the images would be for something really mundane like an instruction manual or survival guide? I have a contact so it's definately do-able. Advice for a convept would be massively appreciated!!
There will be just one concept in this space by Friday!!

the polaroid thing upsets and shocks me!!! oh no no more polaroid film! im not so keen on stained glass windows... it might just be me but i feel like they might be a little dated?! (not saying that you can't make them not dated) i like the obselete mediums a lot more!/A LOT

I think a contemporary stained glass window would be awesome. It all depends on where you would put it in the show though doesn't it?
I like the idea of designing your own stained glass window, Its good to think that you know that it has the potential to be realized. What would the subject of the window be?
That's the project I prefer to be honest but the subject matter is my problem. I had an idea in bed last night about it being a car windscreen. Never seen a stained glass windscreen!
