My proposal will showcase my versatility as a designer, as my current portfolio consists of mainly illustrations. The strength of the project will lie in the fact that the brief is live, and will hopefully involve the use of various media.
What I absolutely love about the London underground is the concept of Buskers.
Recently there was a competition for a favourite 'busKING or queen'. The winner of the competition, declared a couple of weeks ago is a girl called Hadar Manor.
She claims to be in the process of writing her own songs and compiling a CD. So I thought it may be interesting to do her promotional graphics for her- CD cover, posters, perhaps website etc.
As Hadar has been 'chosen' by the London tube-travellers, and has hundreds of fans already, audience interactive mediums for promotion can be used.
Considering she is starting now, it would be a process that involves atleast 4 months, which means she could potentially launch her album around the same time as the show..
The website below explains the competition and has her profile on it too.

I e-mailed Hadar, asking if she would be interested. She replied saying that she definitely is and would like me to design some t-shirts too!

This project may well prove to be small scale, it also lacks the gravitas of a level three project and reads rather like a good project to do in your own time to add to your portfilio. Also in terma of 'real time' graphic design scheduling this project would take a maximum of 2 weeks?
In addition, album designs also tend to leave to External Examiner bemused as they tand to be rather a 'normal' student outcome.
