Hi guys!
Here is my latest plan of FMP...
Computers, browsers, and websites remember everything we type. If you log onto any computer, you can look at the history and recreate what a person did in the past 2 to 18 months. Downloaded files, emails, photos also give out personnal information. Personal pictures are all over the web, from families to kids in bathtubs… nothing seems to be private anymore. The one thing that no one seems to show are insides of hand bags, they seem to stand out as the one and only very personal and secret thing people keep…
I would like to create either a photographic/graphic book with insides of handbags, or a web site that could hold information about objects and interpret what are inside handbags, more specifically your own, you would click on photos/illustrations of objects you have inside your bag and it would generate something about you...
What do you think?? please be critical!!

i think that inside handbags has been done before... by artists especially. the concept of somewhere private and personal IS interesting though.. there are other spaces that are private.. like sock drawers or wallets...
I've researched this for my dissertation and it's really interesting... in terms of the role of bags. It's been well documented and analysed... If the above poster says that it's already been done that's a shame but I agree in that there is something within looking at other private & personal spaces that could be really interesting.

While I agree that privacy and personal space is interesting, you need to quickly develop a proper incentive that constitutes a double module, and ideally a live element. Simply having a notion isn't enough. Good luck!
Its a really interesting subject but handbags has kind of been done before, but I think you're on to something.... nothing is private anymore. you need to take the idea a step further. When I was reading your post I found the bit about how on computers, you can see the history of what people have been looking at interesting...

Hi
You seem to have two ideas. The initial one being about memory and recording history (which could lead to a possible information graphics style project) but there is still no clear outcome yet.
The second idea seems to be about your interpretations of objects inside of handbags... would this be your own personal interpretation? What would you base it on?
have you read the book/watched the film '1984'. in regards to the whole private personal spae thing it's kind of relavent. the story is about a man living in the future where absoloutely every inch of evrything is being watched by cctv cameras at all times. he find a tiny small corner right in the corner of his room that isn't quite covered by the cameras. this is the only place in the world where you can be alone and in private. he begins to do random strange and illegal things in this tiny corner of the room knowing 'big brother' is not watching him. check out the film or something. i know thats only slightly relavent but i hope it helps your ideas process a bit
