The massive online communities that have emerged such as Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Twitter, Flickr, etc. etc. have ALL encouraged and developed people's voyeuristic needs.
The idea I am mulling over is the idea of PROFILE/PEOPLE STALKING. I'm still thinking about the idea and how to represent it or compile the information, but I wanted to put the idea down, so that I could bagsy the idea, as well as get some feedback.
This idea came to me after taking a step back and looking at the way I was workingo n my D&AD project... I am looking at the transcripts of a friend and getting an insight into his life, WITHOUT talking to him or interracting with him at all and the idea of getting to know someone or finding out what someone has been doing PURELY by observing their exploits from a distance was something that came to me... Online social network sites just seemed like a logical place to do this.
JUST A STARTING CONCEPT... MORE TO COME.

you got this idea just from sitting on facebook all day didn't you sam!! sounds interesting as a starting point... would like to hear more about how your going to pull it off though and what you would do...

It's funny because when you start seeing a pattern in what people do with their lives through their pictures on Facebook, you automatically know what their plans are for the next weekend or where they hang out etc.. Maybe as a starting point you can choose a couple of 'strangers' and start mapping out where you think they're going to go the next weekend and try to befriend them, or you can create a new profile for yourself and make new friends by 'meeting' them for the first time where you know they would be..?
