Tala Barbir - Suburban Gingerbread House

The Gingerbread House
As our world continuously modernizes day by day, I can't help but yearn for a more 'simpler' time as when we were children. Growing up watching every Disney cartoon imaginable, the colorful and over exaggerated environments were always 'lands' that I wanted to live in. However today, the average student, or beginning designer, lives in crammed studio flats, surrounded by dull grey walls and very uninspiring living conditions. Therefore, I want to see if working in such an iconic spire would work in today's modern world. The gingerbread house can be set up in any room or garden and would be a fully constructed small plastic house filled with appropriate furniture for the desired environment. This can also be multifunctional and appeal to different markets, such as stay at home parents who can use this visually stimulating space to entertain their children while they work inside it.
