I have a meeting with a client tomorrow, her name is Ria and she is a Fashion & surface print designer. I met her business partner at the Islington Art and Design Fair and have remained in touch with them since. Initially we remained in contact to help with my dissertation research but now our shared enthusiasm for design has led to the possibility of collaborating together. We have been sending some very excitable e-mails back and forth and her brand has received some press coverage since. The core values of her company are admirable as all her work can be placed under the "Eco-fashion" umbrella but I don't think the website does any of her bold/ playful patterns and prints justice.
What I would hope to gain from this project is the possibility of producing a range of high quality print work; i.e. brochures, fashion photography, flyers, brand identity (she has already mentioned that she is keen on this), as well the possibility of transferring the way I have worked in the past into a sophisticated piece of web design. All the coding and technical side of things will be created with the help of a web coder I can employ or from my contact at Mook.
Am posting this as a new development and will let you all know how the meeting goes tomorrow. I hope all your projects are going well, am feeling a little cross-eyed from mountains of letter-setting for the bar-maid book.
UPDATE: MEETING MOVED TO TODAY (WEDNESDAY EVENING) WILL BLOG TONIGHT.

SOUNDS GRRRRREAT!!!!
BEST OF LUCK WITH THE MEETING. XXXXXXX
Sounds very promising indeed. I will hold fire until your meeting tomorrow- just to ensure that you are still enthusiatic with the aesthetic and scope of work.
Incidentally the eco-concerns that your client respects is a good addition in ensuring that the project is contemporaray and topical.

sounds like your kinda thing lisa, do it! a very now issue aswell! spot on, keep up the good work! Polly x
I agree with Polly, This is the project for you Lisa, I hope it works out!
(POSTED BY LISA_) On meeting the client, I realised I will produce promotional material but because they have just had the website re-done they would rather the company grow organically... even if that means that they loose out on business.
I am not sure this is the FMP for me and my work for the brochures, leaflets etc would not be widely available in time for FMP as they have just printed (the most ugly) set of brochures
... am back to the drawing board.
