Harry Tam

another concept.

I am thinking to produce a portrait book based on photography for all the students in our year. The book can gather the atmosphere of the class GDC08. Unlike traditional portraits. Using specific characteristics of different students to create images that we all agree with. What do we think of such person? The images could be based on the followings - one of his/her iconic piece of work , appearance, character...or anything of the person that would remind us of him/her.

i like this idea, but thats probably because i'm on the course. Not sure how interesting it would be to outsiders.

I like the idea but for the same reason as the poster above... because it will be filled with people who I have been at Chelsea with for 3 years... like a really great, well-designed "Leavers book" but perhaps not for an FMP. Just to bare in mind, it may also feel a little like the photo-shoot that is to go along with the show...

Also, I think last year the person who undertook the print material for the shoot was also in charge of producing the 'Seduce Me' print out... so if you wanted to it could be more geered towards material for the show?

Just a few thoughts. Best, Lisa x

An ok project in principal, my concern is that your portraits might mean very little to an exetrnal audience/ Although fun to do, yearbooks are quite common and there some excellent examples of what has gone before. If photography is to be the focus of your FMP I would suggets a more innovative vehicle by which to demonstrate your skills?
