if at first you don't succeed, try try again! Polly again...

Advertising me!..................
Finding it hard to come up with final project ideas, I'd thought I'd advertise myself to the world... for example...
'chelsea student to rent' and see what happens...see what offers come up...see who notices, and the reactions and responses I get.
Or I could not use the fact that I go to chelsea and just advertise me. I would be advertising myself almost as a product, with no special factors, people would start wondering who I am and why im all over London for no apparent reason.
does this sound completely crazy?

more ideas coming soon!

i really like this idea, as a lot of people have started to just find a shop/company and say they are going to collaborate with them, which seems a bit of a cop out. This has real promise, although one big flaw if you don't get anything that interesting. I doubt that will happen though and it will really examine the rep of chelsea.

if you sell yourself just for that reason alone it is gratuitous.
if you have something that you think it is valid shoot for it.

good luck.

In comment to the first post- I do not think that collaborating is a "cop out". It all depends on the final outcome and how the idea is realised to it's full potential.

I like this idea a lot but feel it might be closely linked to last years project of how easy it is to become famous...

I like this idea! I think it could be developed further though. Maybe just advertising yourself as a 'product' isn't enough, maybe try and think of what you could advertise about yourself that you wouldn't normally see, If you are the supposed "product" then surely someone would want you to have a purpose. This could be seen as a bit risque, ie offering your services...but something that is unique to you that makes you stand out. Def more of a commercial appeal rather than simply a personal one!

in response to the 2:20 post

I didn't mean collaborating was a general cop out, just after some people got a collaboration or sponsored project approved a lot of people have thought that it is the only answer and people seem to be starting with the 'im going to re-design something for someone' instead of having a core concept and naturally working in a client or live element. Otherwise the show will be full of re-designs or band videos and album artworks.

This concept is solid any more updates on the possible outcomes?

I think pollys aim is not 'to get famous' but to use the fame and history of chelsea to get work/briefs/invitations/favors/offers

and really see how far a name can get you.
